The campaign of the last couple of months is over and thanks to the support of nearly three thousand San Carlos voters, I have been elected to the school board!

The support from my wife, Allison and three daughters was just fantastic. They were tireless advocates throughout the campaign.   I want to also thank all the people who volunteered their time and energy to help get me elected.  I could not have done it without them.

I had the opportunity to meet so many great people these past few months on the campaign trail and learned from parents, teachers, and community leaders about the challenges we face in our district.  I am excited to roll up my sleeves and get to work on these challenges to provide an even better educational experience for our school children in San Carlos.

I want to congratulate Seth Rosenblatt for his successful election this week as well.  I look forward to working with him and Beth Hunkapiller on the issues facing our schools.  I also want to thank Peter Tzifas for his willingness to run for school board this election.

My first meeting as a board member will be on December 8th, where we will discuss how to fill the upcoming vacancies caused by the election of Mark Olbert to the San Carlos City Council and Carrie Du Bois to the Sequoia Union High School District.  It should be an interesting discussion on the future make-up of the school board.

Thank you again for all of your support.
