Tuesday was a great night for San Carlos schools!   Once again, the citizens of San Carlos voted to support education in our community with the passage of Measure H.  Statewide voters passed Proposition 30 which ensures critical funding for education.

Hundreds of parents, students and community members volunteered their time and energy,  phone banking, block walking and reaching out to voters to encourage them to support Measure H.  I want to give a special thanks to the campaign committee whose leadership and dedication resulted in two thirds of voters supporting Measure H.   They are campaign chairs, Angie Namenuk and Joyce Romeo along with committee members, Sallie Gasparini, Jennifer Berry, Susan Raymond, Andy Blasband,  Beth Robertson, Marianne Jett, Keith Lenden, Cameron Johnson, Tom Quiggle, Laura Teutschel, Robert Porter and April Carlson.

Now,  we can move forward with the next steps of using Measure H funds wisely, to repair aging facilities, upgrade science labs and address the challenges of overcrowding due to our growing student population.    We have a fantastic opportunity to change the way we prepare our students for the 21st century and the world they will enter later in life.

Thank you San Carlos!
